Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend a 2-hour training in AVID methodologies
  • Provide academic support to students
  • Lead subject-specific tutorial groups
  • Act as a role model for AVID students
  • Assist in the organization and participation of functions and activities
  • Advocate for AVID among college peers in order to build a pool of tutors

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidate is responsible for their own Transportation to off campus location
  • Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of student Finance
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester
  • 2.5 GPA
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • Valid Driver's License
