Temp Stockroom Assistant

  • $20 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 2-5 hours per week

Purpose of Position

To assist stockroom lead associate with departmental procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consult with lead stockroom associate regarding stockroom procedures.
  • Ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, teaching lab preparation and preparation of chemical solutions 
  • Assist with hazardous waste disposal 
  • Stockroom Inventory for higher demand solvents 

Required Competencies

  • Experience with the disposal of hazardous waste
  • Experience with educational lab solution preparations

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S in Chemistry, Biology or relevant science major
  • 15 years' work experience in managing a higher education chemical stockroom
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with chemical and supply ordering and receiving.
