Summer 2025 Nursing Internship (Bismarck)

Salary/Position Classification

  • 15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 40 hours per week for approximately 6 weeks
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

Summer internship to provides student nurses the opportunity to work alongside an RN clinical coach to experience nursing care in a multi-physician clinic setting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of supervising nurse:
    •  Direct patient to exam room
    •  Take a brief history and vital signs and document appropriately
    •  Prepare patient appropriately for visit
    •  Answer telephone politely and promptly
    •  Clean and stock exam rooms 

Required Competencies

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Minimum Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year baccalaureate nursing program
• Have completed two semesters or three quarters of clinical nursing experience prior to the start of program
• Current in Basic Life Support at the Healthcare Provider Level from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
