Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor

Salary/Position Classification

  • $65,000 annual for Clinical Instructor/$69,900 annual for Clinical Asst Professor
  • This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.

Purpose of Position

The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.

The CNPD offers innovative online educational programs, a simulation laboratory and a supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. The CNPD highly values diversity in our faculty, students and staff at all levels of instructional support. The college consists of the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work. For this position, we are looking for a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor to teach in our Undergraduate Nursing program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • 90% - Teaching will vary but may include *NURS 313 Clinical Practicum I and NURS 333 Clinical Practicum II
  • 10% - Service to department, college and/or university

  • Ability to comply with deadlines

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing OR master's degree in another field with completion of Nursing Education Certificate OR bachelor's degree in nursing and currently enrolled and making progress on a master's degree in nursing
  • Unencumbered ND nursing license or eligible for licensure in ND
  • Two years of nursing practice experience
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing or enrolled in doctoral study
  • Teaching experience in an academic setting
