Salary/Position Classification

  • $6,079+ contract, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 8.01 hours per week
  • This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.

Purpose of Position

The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a part-time instructor to teach A&S 351: Intro to Law & Legal Studies. This is an on-campus course. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will contribute to the College of A&S through teaching A&S 351: Intro to Law & Legal Studies. 

  • All faculty are expected to hold scheduled office hours and be available to consult with students. 

 

Required Competencies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to teach, inspire, and mentor students
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues

Minimum Requirements

  • Earned J.D. or master's degree in related field
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching courses in law or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence
