Salary/Position Classification

  • $25.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • Hours: Less than 8 hrs/week most weeks, but can be up to 19 during busy grading times such as around mid-terms and finals
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: Yes
  • Hybrid Work Availability: Yes

Purpose of Position

Graders support overall course instruction. This position will grade assignments in Nutrition & Dietetics courses. The position may be offered again in future semesters.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Grading assignments.
    • The Grader works closely with a course instructor to assist with grading responsibilities.
    • Course assignment for grading responsibilities may vary by semester.
    • Grading responsibilities may include grading quizzes, worksheets, discussion boards, reflections, case studies, major projects, or extra credit opportunities.
    • Providing students feedback on their assessments is crucial for their learning and course progress.
  • For Fall 2026, a grader is needed for N&D 335 World Food Patterns.

  • Ability to implement effective time management skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in dietetics, human nutrition or Public Health with no less than 18 graduate credit hours in human nutrition or dietetics coursework (include transcript)
  • Experience with Blackboard learning management system
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grading experience in postsecondary education
  • Online teaching or learning experience
