Salary/Position Classification

Purpose of Position

Develop and advance research investigating the immunotherapeutic potential of superantigens in established solid tumor models, including B16 melanoma and TC-1 systems. Designs and executes experimental studies, analyzes data, and contributes to the dissemination of findings through peer-reviewed publications, with a focus on evaluating translational and therapeutic applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform common immunological, microbiological, and biochemical assays, including ELISA, Western blotting, and cell cloning. 
  • Conduct and interpret flow cytometry experiments, including assay setup, sample preparation, acquisition, and data analysis. 
  • Carry out small animal research procedures in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. 
  • Manage and execute murine cancer studies, including established models such as B16 melanoma and TC1. 
  • Support experimental design, data collection, troubleshooting, and basic laboratory record keeping. 
  • Maintain lab organization, reagent preparation, and standard operating procedures as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD in cancer immunology or a closely related field
  • Experience with common immunological, microbiological, and biochemical assays including ELISA, Western blotting, and cell cloning
  • Expertise in flow cytometry
  • Experience with small animal research techniques
  • Experience with murine cancer models, including but not limited to B16 melanoma and TC1 models
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
