Human Resources and Student Engagement Assistant

Salary/Position Classification

  • $14.00-16.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10-15 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist at Career Fairs, New student orientation, and other events 
  • Assist with the Student Employment of the Year banquet 
  • Assist with marketing student positions on social media 
  • Monitor Student Employee Website for outdated or inaccurate content 
  • Assist in daily student employment processes and operation of student employment recruitment application 
  • Assistance with student outreach initiatives 
  • Assist with data entry 
  • Work with UND and outside agencies to develop and update resources for supervisors and students 
  • Complete duties & research within HR/Payroll focus Assist with planning and execution of HR & Payroll events 
  • Assist with covering the Human Resources department front desk 
  • Complete additional tasks as requested

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award for the applicable term
  • Must be enrolled in at least six credits for the applicable term
  • Availability Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays from 9:00am-2:00pm
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
