Salary/Position Classification

  • $1,888.89 monthly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Purpose of Position

This is a half-time (20 hours/week), non-benefited position open to graduate students.

The Graduate Studies Administrative GSA will report to the Director of Graduate Studies and work in the main School of Graduate Studies office. This position provides project-based support for initiatives related to graduate curriculum, academic policies, and institutional benchmarking. This position also provides administrative support for the student services team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Curriculum & Academic Process Support

  • Support the development of a standard template for program catalog pages.
  • Assist with drafting catalog edits for programs.
  • Review of catalog pages to ensure they are in alignment with SGS policies.

Policy Research & Benchmarking

  • Conduct research on graduate education policies, procedures, and best practices at peer institutions.
  • Compile, organize, and summarize information related to graduate education policies and practices.
  • Assist with drafting, editing, and formatting policy documents and guidance materials.

Administrative Support

  • Run transcripts.
  • Update student and faculty records in and print documents to Perceptive Content.
  • Proof Commencement program and name cards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Available 20 hours/week between the hours of 8-4:30 Monday-Friday

Minimum Requirements

  • Eligible for a graduate assistantship (enrolled in a graduate program, in good academic standing, and enrolled in at least 6 credits during the fall/spring terms)
  • Prior professional, administrative, research, or office experience
  • Experience creating reports, summaries, or professional documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of proven experience in a professional setting
  • Ability to work through the end of the spring 2027 semester
  • Familiarity with curriculum processes, academic policies, or institutional government structures
