Purpose of Position

The Graduate Service position will assist the Director of External Relations in the Nistler College Dean's Office. This includes event support, social media, marketing, and communications

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Specific responsibilities are determined by the Nistler College of Business and Public Administration and are subject to change based on the needs of the department and/or School/College
  • Assist staff with external relations/communication activities including but not limited to social media, website support, content creation, graphic design, Nistler College publications and special events.
  • Work with the Director of External Relations and other Dean’s Office staff as assigned. 

Required Competencies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be resourceful, self-directed, and work with little supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and function with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Maintain a minimum enrollment of 6 credits per semester
  • International students must meet the specified language proficiency requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate degree seeking students in Approved or Provisional status and in good academic standing in one of the following Nistler Graduate Programs: Master of Accountancy, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Applied Economics & Predictive Analytics and Master of Public Administration
  • ABM or combined students may be considered upon successful completion of the undergraduate requirements and bachelor’s degree conferral
  • Experience with standard software applications including MS Office and Outlook
  • Must submit a portfolio of previous articles/projects 
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered for Fall 2026 coursework in the respective program
  • Knowledge of graphic design including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva
  • Knowledge of social media and web design
