Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. Only UND students that qualify for Federal Work Study are eligible to be hired into this position. Unsolicited applications to this position will NOT be considered. This is a federal work study position.
This is the opportunity to gain experience and contribute to the success of the Division I Football Program at the University of North Dakota in the competitive Missouri Valley Football Conference. This role is designed to identify motivated, self-driven FWS students that want to be involved with UND’s Football Program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • % - • This position will have the ability to work in many different areas of the football program. Potential duties include, but are not limited to o assisting the recruiting coordinator on game day o retrieval and sorting of mail o filming practice o filming games o Recruiting data o Retrieval and sorting of mail o Answering phones and communicating correspondence with UND Football Staff o Student Equipment Manager role:  Practice set-up and break down on a daily basis  Work with coaches during practice to help set-up and execute the drills  Learn how to properly fit and maintain equipment such as helmets and shoulder pads  Taught how to properly maintain an accurate inventory on a daily basis  Locker room set-up for all home games  Perform game day duties that will be specified by the DFO  Equipment maintenance and cleaning  Ensure proper storage of equipment o Other projects assigned This position has some regular duties assigned but also assists the office, as needs arise, with varied projects. - (Essential)

Required Competencies

  • Successful completion of criminal history records check
  • Experience with Office Technology preferred (ex. copying machine)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Team player
  • Positive attitude
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
