Salary/Position Classification

  • $38,000-$40,000 annual, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 40 hours per week
  • This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.

Purpose of Position

The UND LEADS Assistant supports the work of the AVP for Strategy & Implementation and the LEADS Implementation Team, including those offices which serve as essential components to UND’s overall strategy and implementation efforts: University Analytics & Planning and Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation. Support functions include communication, data tracking/analysis, and event/meeting scheduling and support.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data tracking and coordination
    • Collect data pertinent to tracking institutional operations, assessment, and strategic plan implementation, such as by assisting in the development of data-collection instruments and/or processes, coding existing data, or working with other campus offices to obtain or review information.
    • Receive, record, and track information related to understanding strategic plan implementation.
    • Work with the offices of University Analytics & Planning and Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation to assist with data collection, both for internal and external reporting processes and requirements.
    • Serve as a point of contact for outside entities who may provide or receive information relevant to understanding institutional operations and strategy coordination.
    • Assist with archival of information (e.g., accreditation reports, strategic plan reports and summaries).
    • Support the development, distribution, and completion of surveys administered through Analytics & Planning, Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation, and the Office of Strategy & Implementation. 
  • Communication support
    • Prepare summaries and reports to assist the AVP for Strategy & Implementation in communicating about the progress of strategic plan implementation.
    • Coordinate with the Division of Marketing & Communication to assist the AVP for Strategy & Implementation in developing story ideas, stories, presentations, and other communication pieces for internal and external audiences that speak to institutional strategy and its implementation.
    • Assist in completing reports related to institutional strategy, goal setting and attainment, and operations.
    • Assist with the planning and organization of events related to disseminating or gathering information pertinent to institutional strategy and operations.
    • Maintain the LEADS website.
    • Assist with the maintenance of Assessment & Accreditation and Analytics & Planning websites and related web pages, such as the UND Data Information Hub. 
  • Meeting and Event Support
    • Schedule meetings for the AVP for Strategy & Implementation and the LEADS Implementation Team
    • Assist the directors of University Analytics & Planning and Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation with meeting and event scheduling and support.
    • Assist in planning, supporting, and conducting meetings and events (e.g., forums, workshops, focus groups).
    • Support the University Assessment Committee through meeting scheduling and record keeping.

Required Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with various campus stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 3 years of directly related experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience working in the North Dakota University System
