Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. This is an hourly (up to 15 hrs. weekly at $15/hr.), temporary, non-benefited grant-related position. To provide project support for the PI and research team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist in various project-related activities, such as scheduling, data collection/coordination, documentation, and report writing.
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members and project participants through effective communication channels, providing regular updates, and addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Prepare presentations, reports, and summaries for project meetings, conferences, or other dissemination activities.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth coordination of project activities, deadlines, and milestones.
  • Ad hoc Tasks: Assist with any additional tasks assigned by the PI, Co-PI or other team members, as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (currently obtaining is ok).
  • Successful criminal history background check.
  • Must be able to work with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to represent the grant team and project in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

  • Preference given to candidates with previous experience working with a Native American organization, Coalition, and/or a not-for-profit organization.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Professionalism: Display a professional attitude, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to ethical standards in handling project-related information.
  • Strong Initiative: Ability to work independently and proactively contribute to project objectives. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify issues, propose solutions, and seek assistance when needed.
