Salary/Position Classification

  • $11.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Purpose of Position

The University of North Dakota Athletics department is in search of a student intern that will be able to assist UND Insider with a variety of day-to-day tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills to assist in both the operational and administrative functions of the program.

This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create on-brand content (video, photography, graphic design) highlighting UND’s Athletic Varsity programs.
  • Help produce in-venue content at home games in the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
  • Produce game day content.
  • Produce recruiting content quickly and efficiently.
  • Seek opportunities to learn cutting edge techniques of social media engagement.
  • Provide support with various administrative tasks.
  • Possible travel with team on select trips throughout the season.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/staff. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Punctual, responsible, and accountable for completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
  • Current UND student, enrolled in a minimum of one credit during the semester of employment.
  • Successful completion of criminal history background check (CHBC).
  • Some interest in sports.
