Salary/Position Classification

  • $41,900+ depending on experience, annual, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 40 hours per week
  • This position offers a hybrid schedule with two remote days and three on‑campus days each week.

Purpose of Position

The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.

The CNPD is comprised of the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics and Social Work. For this position, Nursing's Office of Student Services (OSS) is seeking a Student Support Coordinator II.

This position manages the verification and onboarding processes and ensures all graduate and undergraduate nursing students are following all policies and clinical agreements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Student Verification Process
    • Communicate, monitor and track the nursing student verification process using a database
    • Periodically audit nursing verifications/archive graduate students in Verified Credentials
    • Answer student questions regarding verifications via phone and email
    • Manage the DocuSign handbooks and release forms to for graduate and undergraduate nursing students
    • Place and remove registration holds to ensure graduate and undergraduate students are in compliance with verifications prior to registering for courses
    • Gather and verify data and produce comprehensive reporting and documentation to support accreditation site visits, fulfill clinical information requests, and meet periodic reporting requirements for accrediting and university entities
  • Manage Student Onboarding Process
    • Provide documents for clinical sites when requested
    • Request additional student documentation required by clinical sites as needed
    • Manage the data sharing between Verified Credentials and My Clinical Exchange
    • Ensure students going into clinical practicums have all the documentation submitted prior to starting
    • Collaborate with and provide regular updates to OSS Manager and Clinical Placement Manager regarding the onboarding process
    • Create and distribute training materials to all graduate and undergraduate nursing students to ensure they understand and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Support Graduate Admissions and Progressions
    • Assist with prospective student inquires and maintain records of the interaction
    • Process graduate admission applications
    • Monitor and update tracking/progression spreadsheets
    • Ensure graduate listservs are up to date
    • Assist with graduate student correspondence
    • Provide regular updates to track directors and attend bi-weekly meetings

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel (creating, updating, filtering)
  • Experience creating training or procedural manuals and implementation
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an academic setting
  • Two years of administrative experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare or immunization terminology
  • Experience working with e-documents and/or document imaging systems
