Salary/Position Classification

  • $14.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 5-15 hours per week; more on summer or on breaks
  • Some nights and weekend availability may be requested
  • Academic year position, with potential for summer and/or break hours
  • Also looking to potentially hire some summer only positions

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Service:
    • Act as a resource person to all students and visitors to the Student Involvement & Parent Programs Office
    • Assist and take the lead with various projects, mailings, activities, emails, printing requests, telephone and voice mail calls
    • Ensure general upkeep of the resources, equipment, and the Student Involvement Office area
    • Understand and apply emergency procedures, if needed
    • Food Pantry Coordination:
    • Serve students in the Food for Thought Food Pantry as needed
    • Help stock the Food for Thought Food Pantry as needed
  • Student Events Program Management:
    • Plan and implement events for UND students. These events could include, but not limited to comedians, hypnotists, and campus planned events such as DIY nights, Local vouchers, trivia, and others.
    • Design digital and physical marketing materials for each individual UND Student Events program.
    • Help with day-of event logistics including set-up and tear down. This includes working with agents, facilities, dining services, and Student Ambassador volunteers.
  • Special Projects for UND Orientation Days and Welcome Weekend:
    • Complete any projects or tasks to prepare for UND Orientation Days and Welcome Weekend
    • Participate as a staff member during UND Orientation Days and Welcome Weekend

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be an undergraduate student
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
