Salary/Position Classification

  • 20.00 hour, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 6 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This position will support activities associated with management of the QUEST Scholarship program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Submission of award amount information to the Office of Financial Aid via UND dynamic forms.
  • Application coordination 
  • Preparation of recruitment materials (both mailed and virtual) 
  • Meeting coordination and scheduling 
  • Clerical and transcription support for Drs. Pedersen and Jochman
  • Web page development and maintenance 
  • Other logistical and administrative tasks 

Required Competencies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with using social media to advertise and highlight student accomplishments

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field
  • Experience with using social media to advertise and highlight student accomplishments
  • Experience with scholarship programs related to STEM programs
  • Knowledge of STEM careers and admission requirements for graduate programs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific accomplishments to a general audience
