      Salary/Position Classification

      • $20.00+ commensurate with experience hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
      • 19 hours per week
      • 100% Remote Work Availability: Yes
      • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

      Purpose of Position

      This is a part-time, non-benefited, and temporary position expected to last until 2028. 

      The person who fills this position will manage day-to-day logistics, maintain project calendars, coordinate event and training logistics, track participant progress, and support data collection. This individual ensures the operational smoothness of training programs, institutes, workshops, and travel, and the final state-wide summit institute at the University of North Dakota (UND), while liaising with community partners and institutional stakeholders.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      Attend monthly, up to two-hour meetings to coordinate with researchers and budget officers. Organize and coordinate PD and summer institute activities starting in Spring 2026 and ending at the end of the grant in 2028.

      A list of tasks is below:

      •  Schedule physical spaces and time
      •  Manage all communication with schools and keep the PI and Co-PI of the grant updated
      •  Organize a statewide summit in the third year of the grant

             o Book/rent the physical space (PI and Co-PI will help with suggestions)

             o Coordinate keynote speakers, attendees, dancers, etc.

             o Coordinate refreshments and other needs

             o Promote the events in social media and newspapers

             o Communicate with the ND governor’s office

      •  Marketing: Keep visibility and advertisement of the project activities (social media: Herald news, Facebook, Instagram, CEHD UND   webpage, and others; we are open to suggestions)
      •  Communicate with participant teachers, elders, principals, superintendents, and all PD facilitators
      •  Attend OIE training meetings/Talking Circles
      •  Collect and contribute to the writing of APR yearly (upload ready)
      •  Maintain stipend accounts for all involved (teachers, PD facilitators, advisory board members)
      •  Monitor the PDPDCS website if needed
      •  Maintain communication with UND marketing
      •  Create and maintain a calendar for events and activities
      •  Other duties as assigned 

      Required Competencies

      • Strong organization skills and conscientiousness
      • Ability to successfully navigate a workload comprised of service-related responsibilities involving Indigenous and academic scholars.

      Minimum Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree completed
      • Experience working with tribal communities 
      • A minimum of two years of experience coordinating Indigenous pedagogical activities
      • Experience coordinating and managing indigenous summit institutes
      • Experience writing emails and managing social media
      • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
