Purpose of Position

Postdoctoral researcher will work with scientists from the Materials Manufacturing Initiative

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include writing research reports, meeting with other researchers, working with graduate students, collaborating on and presenting scientific papers, and grant and proposal writing. The candidate will have a high level of understanding of materials science and the mechanics of materials. 

Required Competencies

  • The candidates should have adequate knowledge of 3D printing, polymers, composites, materials characterization, mechanical testing, image analysis, and engineering design.

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD in Materials Science or related disciplines
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Materials Science or related disciplines with specialization in synthesis and characterization of materials
