Salary/Position Classification

  • $2400 per month, Exempt
  • 16-24 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time instructional teaching assistant position to help facilitate laboratory instruction, delivery of Medical Laboratory Science curriculum, and instructional support for the Medical Laboratory Science department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, planning, delivery, and evaluation of laboratory and simulated coursework. 
  • Assist with development and/or implementation of departmental and curricular initiatives. 

Required Competencies

  • Ability to work efficiently as an individual or part of a collaborative group, while maintaining integrity and professionalism
  • Self-direction, flexibility, and willingness to adapt and accept feedback/direction

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum Baccalaureate degree in Medical Laboratory Science
  • Acceptance/enrollment in the UND Master's of Science in Medical Laboratory Science program with a start date no later than November 2026.
  • Documented ASCP MLS (or CLS/MT) certification
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
