Purpose of Position

Higher education must plan to ensure the future of the institution and those plans guide the allocation of resources to accomplish the institutional mission and plan. This course will provide an overview of planning processes and the subsequent allocation of resources to implement the plan. Students will also learn about financial management including budgeting, financial policies and performance metrics. The college administrator's role in guiding the fiscal welfare of an institution of higher education will be explored. On demand. This is a 3 credit asynchronous online course.

Minimum Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Higher Education or related field.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful experience teaching graduate courses in an online environment.
  • Professional experience in higher education with finance and planning.
  • Experience using performance metrics in higher education environment.
