Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Free meal with every 3+ hour shift!

Duties & Responsibilities

Exceptional Guest Experience:

  • Builds emotional connection with Guests through Food, Service & Ambiance
  • Provides quality service to guests. Greets guests in a courteous and hospitable manner
  • Provides requested information regarding the menu and handles guest questions and complaints effectively
  • Monitors food quality and provides feedback to the Manager, Assistant Manager, and/or Cook

Store Environment:

  • Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary store environment in compliance with operations standards
  • Cleans all areas of the store following proper procedures in the use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals
  • Ensures compliance with all food safety, work safety, and sanitation requirements

Operations:

  • Upholds high Operations Standards and being the Best
  • Serves accurate portions from the steam table; manages steam table with fresh and presentable quality food and orders the appropriate amount of food during busy and slow periods
  • Operates all kitchen equipment, including the Chinese knife and wok, following proper procedures and safety guidelines
  • Organizes and properly stocks storage area for utensils and other food and nonfood items
  • Follows all franchise policy and procedures

Required Competencies

  • Able to stand on one's feet for 3 -4 hours.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Incumbents should have an optimistic attitude, willingness to learn new skills, high degree of integrity, and a strong work ethic

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products in professional culinary commercial kitchen.
  • Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities.
  • Hairnets and beard restraints are a requirement in our food preparation areas
  • Must be available to work during day hours as well as nights & weekends
