Purpose of Position

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will play an integral role in strategically planning, executing, and managing the Pancratz Center's marketing initiatives and career development events. Through compelling content creation, social media management, and innovative promotion strategies, you will enhance the Center's visibility and strengthen relationships with employers to ultimately benefit students in exploring internships, jobs, and furthering their professional growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Market events, services, and opportunities and manage social media accounts and website
    • Market events, services, and opportunities to students, student organizations, faculty, staff, and employers
    • Create new, engaging content for website and social media including student, alumni, and employer features
    • Manage Pancratz website utilizing OmniUpdate
    • Develop and maintain social media strategy and track progress in engagement on various platforms
    • Utilize analytics and tracking to create reports and make decisions on changes to strategy to increase engagement
    • Create and send newsletters to Nistler students with timely, relevant, and accurate content
    • Search for and promote internships and full-time positions
    • Represent the Pancratz Center at events
    • Work with vendors to order and maintain inventory of promotional items and materials
    • Work with graphic designer(s) and/or Pancratz student employees to develop signage and materials for events
    • Recruit students to attend Pancratz Center and NCoBPA events
  • Plan and execute career-focused events and services
    • Develop, plan, and implement on-campus and virtual recruitment and career development events including career fairs, meet-and-greets, workshops, employer tabling, etc.
    • Utilize Handshake to set up career fair registrations, approve and invoice employers, and schedule interviews
    • Work with venues and vendors for all aspects of event coordination
    • Coordinate on-campus interviews with employers and secure and coordinate space
    • Communicate regularly with employers regarding all aspects of events and interviews
    • Take professional photos for Nistler students and alumni and edit with appropriate software
    • Send reminders to students about event attendance and provide all follow-up information
    • Communicate with employers about events and opportunities to connect with students
    • Maintain effective relationships with staff, faculty, employers, and students
    • Communicate with UND Career Expo Coordinator to share information regarding career fairs with UND Career Services
  • Maintain and utilize current career tools and databases and stay up to date on new technology and resources
    • Utilize Handshake or other career platform extensively for events, interviews, and assisting staff with projects
    • Learn and utilize Suitable platform
    • Oversee Pancratz Professional Closet database and communicate needs
    • Manage mentor program applications for mentors and mentees
    • Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge about tools and resources
    • Develop new resources to fit the evolving needs of students and employers
  • Assist with daily operations
    • Order and maintain supplies for the Pancratz Professional Closet, LinkedIn Photo Booth, and overall office needs
    • Work regularly with student employees in a positive, professional manner

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Degree must be conferred by start date.
  • Professional work experience in marketing
  • Demonstrated experience with social media including utilization of various social media platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must include cover letter with resume
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Demonstrated experience with all aspects of event planning and implementation
  • Photography experience including photo editing
  • Demonstrated experience with professional use Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Experience applying social media trends
  • Experience developing website content
  • Experience utilizing Handshake and Blackboard
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience with Zoom and Teams
  • Experience with Qualtrics, OmniUpdate, and WordPress
