Purpose of Position

This position will assist in providing customer service to UND departments, current students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and families on a variety of university functions, focusing on the areas of Student Accounts and Financial Aid.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide quality services in an efficient and effective manner, and in compliance with appropriate rules and regulations.
  • Enhance the instructional, research, and public service programs of the university in an environment that supports the needs of the university’s students, faculty, staff, and the community.
  • Provide exemplary customer service to the students, staff, and faculty at the University of North Dakota by using all resources available to the One Stop Student Services staff, including but not limited to reaching out to other university offices to ensure service levels are met.
  • This position will require high energy and commitment to creating positive customer service experiences with a high level of public interaction.
  • Assist in training new staff and students in all One Stop processes.
  • Process payments, wires and third-party payments.
  • Open and close the office for Processing payments
  • Complete daily reports for cashiering Complete Scholarship processing
  • Provide Customer Service in One Stop by phone, walk ins and email
  • Assist with U Cards and Ramp badges as needed.

Required Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience delivering excellent service to students, families, and both on- and off-campus constituents.
  • Attention to detail, excellent customer service and strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent organizational skills needed.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
  • One year experience working in an office setting
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement strategies and tools.
  • Two years of experience in a university setting.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Student Admin module and Perceptive Content (Image Now).
  • Experience with UND policies and procedures.
  • At least one year of experience with Title IV regulations.
