Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, and clean the kitchen, service areas, restrooms, dining room, etc.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and place them in the appropriate bins; take bin out to recycling when full
  • Operate trash compactor & baler when necessary
  • Hang clean uniforms for Chick-Fil-A, Panda Express, and Self-Branded concepts in their respective locations
  • Removes refuse from the following areas of the dining center: kitchen, service areas, restrooms, dining rooms, storerooms.
  • Maintains orderliness of the storerooms, coolers, and freezers
  • Stocks inventory items in the kitchen & Dining’s restrooms: refill soap and change paper towel dispensers when empty
  • Ensure checklists are being completed in a timely manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers
  • Other tasks & duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to work with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products in professional culinary commercial kitchen.
  • Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities.
  • Hairnets and beard restraints are also a requirement in our food preparation areas
  • Able to stand on one's feet for 3-4 hours.
