Salary/Position Classification

  • 20.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 25 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

To instruct INMED Med Prep students and utilize subject matter expertise to help them gain confidence with and improve MCAT scores, and to provide guidance on preparing for the medical school testing admissions process.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach MCAT subjects utilizing program resource books purchased from KAPLAN.
  • Help prepare syllabi and all lesson plans prior to start of program.
  • Teach in accordance with program schedule Monday through Friday
  • Be responsible for the administration of MCAT practice exams.
  • Obtain MCAT scores from each participant after pre-tests and post-tests & record on evaluation form.
  • Monitor daily attendance on each participant and report unexcused absences to INMED Program Coordinator
  • Forward attendance logs to INMED program Coordinator at the end of each week
  • Attend staff meetings. 

Required Competencies

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft office applications.
  • Must be familiar with the basics of Zoom.
  • Must be familiar with the MCAT process.
  • Must have the ability to teach MCAT subjects utilizing program resources from KAPLAN to strengthen testing ability to enter medical school.
  • Must have the ability to tutor in two or more of the MCAT subject areas (CARS, Behavioral Science, Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, & Physics/Math)
  • Excellent organizational skills & ability to meet work timelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
