Salary/Position Classification

  • $13.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Photograph, edit, and archive images for marketing purposes, following guidelines provided by marketing supervisors. 
  • Tag and organize archived images. 
  • Assist the University Photographer on photo shoots. 
  • Collaborate with other student interns on projects, including social media content. 
  • Assist staff with various office tasks as needed (deliveries, printing, assembly of materials).
  • May occasionally appear as a model in marketing shoots for university materials. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of photographic principles, cameras, and lighting gear
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Ability to deliver final images that conform to brand standards provided by the supervisor
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Available for a weekly team meeting; remaining hours are scheduled around your classes
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated photography experience through coursework, freelance work, or personal projects
  • Experience shooting with DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras
