Salary/Position Classification

Purpose of Position

The CNPD is seeking two GTAs to start during the spring 2026 semester. The individuals in this position will work with a faculty member in the simulation lab, assist in the instruction of Gero-STARR students and perform other duties as requested by the faculty.

Days and hours (not to exceed 10 hours/week) will be determined by program needs for the spring 2026 semester. From May 18-June 2, 2026 a commitment of 80 hours is required.

These positions require an on-campus presence and only CNPD Nursing graduate students in good standing will be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant
    • Assist in preparation for student instruction in the simulation lab
    • Assist faculty with conducting simulation learning experiences and debriefing
    • Simulation-based instruction to include assessment skills, technical skill development, communication skills, and teamwork
    • Assessing student learning outcomes and competencies through observation in the simulation lab
    • Tutoring of Gero-STARR students
    • Attendance at meetings as scheduled
    • Other clinical or lab-related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Unencumbered nursing license in North Dakota
  • UND CNPD Nursing Graduate Student in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
