Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Program Coordination & Development:
  • Assist in planning and organizing the InternGF Summer Cohort program.
  • Help structure the program schedule, coordinate events, and ensure a seamless experience for program participants
  • Support program partners in delivering high-quality professional development opportunities
  • Marketing & Outreach:
  • Design and develop program promotional materials, including flyers, social media content, email campaigns to promote the InternGF Summer Cohort.
  • Market the program to regional businesses, human resources professionals, and prospective interns to encourage the participation of their local interns.
  • Manage the marketing campaigns and outreach to ensure broad visibility and engagement.
  • Program & Logistics Coordination:
  • Oversee the registration process, ensuring timely communication with participants.
  • Help coordinate logistics for six full-day sessions, including venues, transportation, and handling materials (e.g., handouts) for each session.
  • Assist in scheduling guest speakers, panels, and other networking opportunities.
  • Serve as an on-site coordinator during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external vendors (e.g., catering, event supplies, technology) to ensure the logistical needs of each event are met.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Act as a point of contact for interns, employers, and program partners.
  • Provide updates to the UND and EDC teams on program progress.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with program participants, businesses, and partners throughout the summer.
  • Additional Support for Experiential Learning Team:
  • Provide general support and assistance to the Experiential Learning Coordinator with other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc tasks related to program execution and future planning. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
  • Currently pursuing a degree at UND. Students will also need to be registered for the next academic semester at UND.
  • Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in marketing and event coordination; organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience:
  • Previous internship or work experience in event planning, marketing, or program coordination is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering professional growth for students and businesses. Comfortable in reaching out to people via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
