Admissions Call Center Specialist

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Call Center Representatives will answer phone calls and emails in our Admissions Call Center. This position also helps greet and check-in visitors at the Admissions office front desk.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Complete outgoing calls for specific call groups 
  • Monitor and respond to emails
  • Complete data input
  • Miscellaneous office duties such as scanning and printing
  • Assist with staffing the front desk to greet and check in campus visitors 
  • Serve as a model of excellence in professionalism and customer service as you represent the University of North Dakota 
  • Call Center Reps will be trained as tour guides, including driving tours, to help with tours on a limited basis, if needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires 2nd semester Freshman status level (or above)
  • Must have a 2.5+ GPA
  • Successful completion of a UND student conduct check
    • Applicants must be in good conduct standing with the University. Students may not be on conduct probation prior to or at the time of hire and during tenure of position. Placement on conduct probation is grounds for immediate dismissal. Applicants must sign a release for the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities to verify this.
  • Morning and Evening availability
  •  Ambassadors are required to follow the UND Student Code of Conduct, the Ambassadors Training Manual and the Ambassadors Dress Code
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass the driver’s training requirement
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
  • Successful completion of Criminal History Background Check
