Purpose of Position


This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Help students to become better independent learners by assisting them in the understanding of course material and answering their questions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help students to become better independent learners by: Assisting students in the understanding of course material Identifying strengths and areas of improvement regarding the content of the coursework and study habits Answering student questions and guiding them through class assignments Conducting review sessions before exams - (Essential)
  • Completion of CRLA-certified tutoring training Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and hours worked - (Essential)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Tutor Coordinator - (Essential)

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have taken Spanish, and have proof of understanding of course material, evidenced by a minimum grade of B+ in the course (or equivalent coursework) for which you will tutor
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
