Salary/Position Classification

  • 14 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10-15 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
    • Process and organize study abroad forms
    • Maintain and update contact lists and partner program info sheets
    • Assist with tracking internal program data using Excel
    • Monitor and respond to inquiries via the Study Abroad email account
    • Maintain organization of office supplies, student swag inventory, and shared workspace areas
  • Student Outreach and Engagement
    • Assist with collecting student testimonials, blog posts, and reflections from past participants in collaboration with office staff
    • Present to student groups and classrooms to promote study abroad opportunities
    • Maintain a digital photo archive for promotional use
    • Help identify and pursue new promotional opportunities in collaboration with student organizations and campus partners
    • Distribute cords for graduating seniors
  • Event Coordination Support
    • Assist with organizing and supporting Study Abroad events such as the Study Abroad Fair, Pre-departure Orientation, and Unpacking Your Bags
    • Coordinate logistics such as room bookings, materials prep, and event setup
    • Represent the Study Abroad Office at tabling events and campus fairs
    • Provide general event support and assist with drop-in advising hours

Required Competencies

  • Show initiative and reliability in supporting office projects and events.
  • Enhance cross-cultural awareness and understanding of international education processes.
  • Strengthen their ability to work in a team-oriented, dynamic office environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous study abroad experience or international experience
  • Comfortable with public speaking and student engagement
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
