The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Dakota invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure-track Research Assistant Professor position in the area of biomedical imaging and spectroscopy. This appointment is contingent upon the availability of funding.
The Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degree programs in Biomedical Engineering and is a collaborative unit within the College of Engineering & Mines. The department currently includes six full-time and one part-time faculty members, with approximately 60 undergraduate and 40 graduate students enrolled.
Research within the department is supported by external funding from agencies such as the USDA and others. Faculty research is housed primarily in Columbia Hall, which contains classrooms, several dedicated laboratories, and over 10 faculty and student offices, as well as space for modern teaching and research activities.
