Salary/Position Classification

  • $1888.89 (Masters) $2388.89 (Doctoral) monthly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 20 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work with UND DREAM Lab staff and industry partners to integrate Model-Based Systems Engineering and 3D Digital Twin technologies into workforce development programs at UND on the topic of Space Operations for the purpose of providing a realistic Satellite Space Operations training experience based on systems simulation.

Required Competencies

  • Enthusiasm for Space-related Topics
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current UND Graduate Student
  • Previous experience using the Python or the C++ programming language
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Demonstrated experience 3D design and modeling
  • Demonstrated experience with game engine programming
  • Demonstrated experience with the Cesium 3D Geospatial Platform
  • Demonstrated experience with Ansys STK
