Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clean, organize, and maintain datasets using spreadsheets and database tools. 
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation. 
  • Assist with updating curriculum and program data relevant to assessment and accreditation processes. 
  • Create summary tables, visuals, and reports for internal use.   
  • Prepare data for analysis of curriculum structures and pathway data to develop projections related to student outcomes.   
  • Support Prepare cleaned and structured data sheets for use in Power BI dashboards. 
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure data is properly formatted and optimized for visualization. 
  • Assist in testing dashboards for accuracy and usability.  
  • Maintain organized file systems for datasets, reports, and documentation. 
  • Participate in meetings, take notes when needed, and contribute to project planning discussions. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support assessment, analytics, and accreditation activities. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Current student enrolled at UND majoring in a data analysis related field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Educational Research, or similar).
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel).
  • Experience with at least one statistical programming language (Python, R, Julia preferred).
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
