Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set-up  the tables, lay table linens, chairs, silverware, centerpieces, glassware etc., as assigned
  • Attend to the guest’s needs and requests.
  • Server must have knowledge on what food he or she is serving in the case of a guest asking.
  • Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal
  • Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service, including washing and putting away dishes
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our guests
  • Availability needed for weekends and evenings, flexible schedule can be arranged

Required Competencies

  • Hairnets and beard restraints are a requirement in our food preparation areas
  • Incumbents should have an optimistic attitude, willingness to learn new skills, high degree of integrity, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Requirements

  • Able to stand on one's feet for 3 -4 hours. 
  • Able to move up to 45 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license     
  • Must be able to work with the preparation and disposal of fish, poultry, beef, lamb, pork and other meat products in professional culinary commercial kitchen. 
  • Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities
